Spam protection
- Hoststar synchronizes its systems with three spam databases to ensure we can filter out spam reliably and effectively. By adding relevant spam servers (open relay servers**) to the blacklist, entire waves of spam can be stopped.
- In addition, our spam filter is also equipped with OCR software to correctly identify and filter out graphics-based spam emails.
- **Open relays are mail servers that anyone can use to send emails. Many spammers exploit these third-party email servers to send their advertising emails.
Virus protection
- Our virus scanners check all emails for infected content and automatically delete infected emails. In addition, the entire Hoststar server farm is protected by cutting-edge firewall technology.
